TinTop Customer Builds
Jeff from Pennsylvania

Jeff chose to buy the 5x8 trailer from the source referenced in the plans. With a door on each side he and his wife were more comfortable camping. He wired his teardrop for 120 volt power, mounted the battery in a box on the tongue, and installed a roof vent. He used the trailer's stock wheels but adapted custom fenders. Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail, as you can see, and a good example of how a builder can customize their teardrop to suit their needs and tastes.

Tom from Washington State

With a lot of support from wife Shirley, Tom built this woodie as a gift for his daughter. Tom proudly reports a lot of compliments from everyone who sees it, and his daughter is pretty impressed, too. Tom and Shirley are typical of the quality people I've met through this little business of mine.

Tom has actually created a family heirloom.

Tom's grandson reports that the teardrop has turned into one big guy-magnet for his mom.

Scott has sent these photos of a work in progress. He appears to be following the plans closely. Obviously a lot of craftsmanship in the cabinet work.
Bob from Washington State

Bob has experience in building canoes from wooden strips, and he employed that same artistic technique to build a teardrop that dramatically modifies the TinTop plans. He built the whole thing like he would a watercraft, making it weather proof with the same sort of modern resins used in wooden boat building. I've enjoyed watching the photos of Bob's progress. He has invested a great deal of time...and those wooden strips and resins aren't cheap either.

The Duncans From Indiana

The Duncans have an obvious flair for design and innovation. Look at everything they craammed into a teardrop! Great craftsmanship.

Carol from New Mexico

Carol is a carpenter and her teardrop is an ongoing project as she moves about from job to job. Her friend is a welder in nuclear plants and built her this beautiful 5x10 trailer. Carol reports men will do an amazing amount of work for lasagna and beer.
